| OECU Members who opened a Checking or Money Market Account prior to July 1, 2010
Beginning August 15, 2010 when you initiate any type of ATM or Point-of-Sale transaction with your ATM or Debit card, the OECU Member Privilege program will be unable to authorize that transaction if it will overdraw your checking account unless you authorize OECU to do so.
If you’d like to keep the Member Privilege service available for your ATM and Debit card transactions, you will need to download and complete the form (A-9 – E 06-2010) and return it to us no later than August 13, 2010.
This change is due to a new regulation established by the Federal Reserve Bank. In the past, we’ve provided Member Privilege automatically on checking accounts, but can no longer do so on everyday debit and ATM transactions unless you request it by downloading and completing the form.
Don’t let yourself be caught without this service. It saves you from the embarrassment of having your purchase declined, especially in emergency situations. Remember, there is no fee to have the Member Privilege service available on your account. A fee is only assessed when you actually use the service. |
